“My week at camp has helped me build my self confidence and being able to be around lots of different people. At camp I have learnt to build stronger friendships/relationships, especially with my sister. We have learnt trust, communication, co-operation, facing fears and self belief. My favourite things about Camp Kulin are meeting new people, making new friends, having to trust strangers and going home and knowing that I believe in myself.”

I have learnt to treat others the way you want to be treated, being good, teamwork, being good at sports, making new friends, having fun at everything, being a good team player, communication, being nice, being good at trust, being friendly to others, not saying bad things to others, and don’t talk back to your mum and dad.”

I still can’t believe how Tanya and her counsellors changed my life and the lives of all the other campers in a week. “What I liked about the people at Camp Kulin was they were nice, kind, respectful, friendly, unforgettable and positive. Some things I learnt at camp were to be brave, face your fears, don’t ever give up, treat others the way you want to be treated, be cool, don’t be afraid to ask questions, making friends, speaking up and getting along with people. I want to come to Camp Kulin again as a camper, then become a camp counsellor.”
