Camp leader takes out Rural Women’s Award 2017!

Camp Kulin program founder Tanya Dupagne has won the 2017 WA Rural Women’s Award for her contribution to WA’s regional communities Regional Development Minister Alannah MacTiernan tonight congratulated Kulin community leader Tanya Dupagne on taking out the 2017 Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation WA Rural Women’s Award. The Rural Women’s Award celebrates the contributions and achievements of Western Australian women to the State’s regional economy and communities. Boost for Camp Kulin Corring Reach program from Civic Legal.

Camp Kulin’s Corrigin Reach Program has received a big boost thanks to a $5,000 sponsorship announcement from Civic Legal this week. Corrigin District High School was the pilot school for the Reach Program, which provides one-on-one and small group mentoring, before and after school activities, classroom support, weekend activities, teacher support and links to essential services for students in kindergarten to Year 10. The 12 month pilot program, funded through support from the Shire of Corrigin, community organisations and fundraising, has proved highly successful with teachers and parents noting a huge positive change in the students participating.
