Camp Kulin 2016 gets off to a big start

It has been a big start to the year for the Camp Kulin team. Over the past 6 weeks, 179 campers from across the State and 49 volunteer camp counsellors from around Australia have taken part in the nationally recognised program. 179 campers travelled from over 70 suburbs to attend Camp Kulin over the school holidays. This included a number of towns in the Perth Metropolitan Area, as well as campers from Kulin and surrounding towns such as Kondinin, Narrogin, Corrigin, Jitarning and Pingelly and those from regional towns further afield such as Kalgoorlie, Newman, Merredin, Northam, Collie, Williams, Wyalkatchem,

Camp Kulin Manager named as Telstra Business Women’s Awards Finalist

Camp Kulin Manager Tanya Dupagne has been named as a finalist for the 2015 Telstra Business Women’s Awards in the Government and Academia Category In their 21st year, the Telstra Business Women’s Awards celebrate women who have the courage to start their own business and lead their industries, and offer them a platform to encourage others to challenge the status quo and think differently. Camp Kulin wins National Award for Local Government!

The Shire of Kulin was recognised as one of the top councils in the country for its Camp Kulin program this week, becoming the only WA local government to take out a category win at the 2015 National Awards for Local Government. Out of all the local governments in Australia, the Shire was announced as the winner of the Multicultural Australia: Strength in Diversity category of the awards, presented at Parliament House in Canberra. Camp Kulin wins Premiers Award!

The Shire of Kulin has been announcedas the joint winner of the Strengthening Families and Communities Category in the Premiers Awards for Excellence in Public Sector Management. Out of 50 nominations across 7 categories Camp Kulin was the smallest entrant, and made it through the eight month selection process to be named joint winner of their category alongside the Department of Sport and Recreations Kidsport program.
